Now that we got your mind right, let’s work on the outside! I’m going to break this up into categories so you can scroll to what’s relevant to you!
Cut & Color Guests
I’m going to guess your concerns are split dry ends, grow out, faded color, or blonde has gone a bit brassy? Here’s what I suggest to help with a couple or all of those issues. Start out with a good clarifying shampoo then do a mini Malibu treatment which will help remove hard water and product build up. Use a good hydrating shampoo to rinse out the treatment and follow up with a good deep conditioning mask. Pureology’s Hydrate line is great for those needing moisture. Strength Cure’s Best Blondes is a game changer for blondes. A purple shampoo and a bluer tinted conditioner to help with yellow and brassy tones. Purple corrects yellow, blue corrects orange.
Current situation, you’re likely 6-10 weeks grown out, the wefts are beginning or already low and driving you nuts. To avoid any stress on your hair or the extensions try to avoid high pony’s and messy buns for now until we get you back on the books. Try some loose braids! There’s time for tutorial watching and some great fun styles out there. Tag me when you do so I can see!
The number one thing that hair extensions need is moisture. Take this time to do a nice deep conditioning mask. Pureology’s Hydrate Superfood Treatment is my personal favorite. Pair that with the Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner and you’ll be golden!
If we’re beyond that point, I’ve already helped coach a few of you how to remove them at home with a friend. If you feel you need them out before May, please don’t hesitate to reach out and I’ll guide you!
I’m sure we’re all baby bird bald right now and I know it sucks! I’m right there with you. I’m taking this time to strengthen and grow my lashes to be as strong and healthy as possible so when it comes time to get a new full set it’s going to be nothing short of LUSCIOUS. Biotin vitamins and Grande Lash-MD Lash Enhancing Serum are my go tos. Grande Lash you need to use at least 5 days a week to see a difference. Once the package is opened it’ll expire in 3 months so be sure to stick with it! Also safe to use once you get your lash extensions back on and lash lifts freshened up.
Oh man! This is the perfect time to give some TLC to your dreadlocks. How about a deep cleanse? Start with 2-3 good washes with a clarifying shampoo. Pureology’s Purify is safe for dreadlocks, color and smells SO damn good. It has an aromatherapy blend of tea tree oil, witch hazel, rosemary and peppermint. Then follow up with an baking soda and apple cider vinegar rinse. Below is an amazing article about how to properly clean and wash them. Baking soda has a very high Ph so it’s key to use it properly otherwise hair can become dry and brittle.
